<br />TSCHIDA OW ASSO HILLS PLAT 4 <br /> <br />1. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />The contemplated work is located within the corporation limits of the City of Roseville, and the <br />development is called TSCHIDA OW ASSO HILLS PLAT 4. The work consists of site clearing and <br />grubbing, grading erosion control and seed & mulch. <br /> <br />2. EARTHWORK - GENERAL <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to grade the project to confonn to the plan elevations and cross <br />sections. The remainder of the site shall be graded to drain and. blend with the controlled sections. Any <br />area higher or lower than 0.20 foot of plan elevation shall be graded by the Contractor at his expense unless <br />in the opinion of the Engineer the variance is not harmful to the Owner, and the quantity balance is not <br />excessively disturbed. If such regrading is necessary, the topsoil will be resalvaged and respread at the <br />Contractor's expense. <br /> <br />3. COMMON EXCAVATION <br /> <br />This work consists of construction of excavations and embankments required to complete die project in <br />accordance with the Plans and Specifications, but not specifically provided for elsewhere within these <br />project's Special Provisions. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall excavate and segregate all the various materials encountered to the depth as shown on <br />the Plans. All select materials shall be used in the street and building pad construction. Placement of select <br />material in the streets shall be completed prior to using any available select material in house pad <br />construction. <br /> <br />Sufficient existing topsoil or organic material shall be salvaged by the Contractor to provide a minimum of <br />six (6) inches of cover for all disturbed portions of the project except streets and house pads. <br /> <br />Excavation areas shall be over excavated a minimum of 6" and mineral soil embankment areas shall be left <br />6" low except in streets and 6" of the topsoil or organic material shall be spread thereon. The finished <br />project shall have a smooth and blended appearance. <br />
