Do nothing, allow the system to work as it currently does. <br /> <br />Specific Details of Ordinance: <br /> <br />The proposed ordinance would require the following: <br /> <br />1. A tandscape plan would be required for all new commercial/industrial <br />and multi-family developments. <br />2. The landscape plan must be prepared by a landscape architect registered and <br />licensed in the State of Minnesota if the construction value is in excess of <br />$500,000. <br />3. The plan should incorporate existing landscaping to the maximum extent feasible <br />which may be used towards meeting the minimum landscape requirements. <br />4. The landscape plan shall include size, location, quantity and species of all plant <br />materials and the method of maintenance. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that this item be approved after the third reading with any <br />additions/corrections by the City Council. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Recommendations: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission, at the August 14, 1996 meeting, recommended approval of <br />an ordinance amending City Code Chapter 1010.15 to add requirements for <br />professional landscape plans as per the draft ordinance. <br /> <br />Suggested Council Action: <br /> <br />1.
