<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />PLANNING REPORT <br /> <br />I>J\11E: 08-14-96 <br /> <br />CJ\SE NO.: 2853 <br /> <br />Planner J\pproval: <br /> <br />I>epartment J\pproval: <br /> <br />J\genda Section: <br /> <br />Item Description: <br /> <br />6(h) <br />An ordinance amending the Roseville City Code Section 1102.01 changing <br />notification distance for subdivisions to three hundred fifty (350') feet and the <br />review period by the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Backaround <br /> <br />The purpose of the attached ordinance amendment is to amend the City's public notice and hearing <br />process to be consistent with the State imposed 60 day review and decision limits and to provide a <br />consistent public notice and hearing process for all zoning related matters. <br /> <br />Specific Details of Ordinance: <br /> <br />The attached ordinance amendment does the following: <br /> <br />1. Public hearing notices must be mailed to property owners within 350 feet of the site instead of <br />250 feet. <br />2. The Planning Commission must forward a recommendation on a preliminary plat to the City <br />Council within 30 days instead of 45 days. <br />3. A separate application will be required for final plats. <br />4. Approved plats must be recorded with the Ramsey County Recorder prior to the issuance of any <br />building pennits or within 60 days, whichever is less. <br /> <br />Summary and Conclusion: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that this item be approved and sent on to the Council for a first reading on J\ugust 26, <br />1996, with any additions/corrections from the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Sug&ested Planning Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend approval of an ordinance amending the Roseville City Code Section 1102.01 <br />changing notification distance for subdivisions to three hundred fifty (350') feet and the review period by <br />the Planning Commission as per the draft ordinance with additions (if any). <br /> <br />Staff Report by: I>ennis Welsch <br /> <br />1 <br />
