<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE SECTIONS 501.05 AND 701.03K <br />RELATING TO EXEMPTIONS FOR SERVICE ANIMALS <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville ordains: <br /> <br />Section 1. Purpose. The purpose and objectives of this Ordinance is to amend City <br />Codes relating to guide dogs, by complying with new language of the Americans with <br />Disabilities Act. <br /> <br />Section 2. (Definition) Section 501.01 is hereby amended to add the term service <br />animals. A service animal is an animal specially trained to assist a person with disabilities. <br /> <br />Section 3. City Code Section 501.05 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />501.05. Animals Forbidden in Hotels and Motels: No dog, cat, or other animal shall be <br />allowed in any hotel or motel overnight in the sleeping rooms designed for human habitation. <br />This section does not apply to guide d6g3 aee6l'ftpanying a blind pcrs6n service animals <br />acco:rnpanyini a disabled person. <br /> <br />Section 4. City Code Section 701.03K is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />701.03K. No dogs shall be allowed except on leash, cord, or chain not more than six feet (6') <br />in length. This section does not ap'ply to service animals accompanyini a disabled person. <br /> <br />Section 5. Effective Date.
