;v - _.~: \nA
~~e~ D\. ~;:iq'
~ ~t~. ~\\O\
~ /ft
o

December 4,1995

TO:

Dennis Welsch

ISE WALL

FROM:

Steve Sarkoz

SUBJECT: OASIS PARK

On Friday, December 1. I received a call from Lisa Willcoxen (work telephone 604-0101 )
who lives on Centennial Drive west of Oasis Park and north of Advance Circuits. Ms.
Willcoxen and her neighbors continue to be affected by noise from Advance Circuits; noise
which has apparently increased due to early morning deliveries, the elimination of the
south loading dock, and presumably the belief by Advance Circuits personnel that the
noise wall mitigates concerns of neighbors to the north.

Needed is an extension of the noise wall further west, evergreen planting on the north side
of the wall and deciduous or evergreen planting on the south side of the wall. Also please
determine the cost and the best location to terminate the extension of the fence.

My assumption is that the City and Advance Circuits simply did not extend the wall far
. enough west to fully mitigate the impacts. Understandably, our focus was on the
residential area immediately north and not so much to those residences to the west. Ms.
Willcoxen will be contacting Advance Circuits to obtain formal commitment of their portion
of the cost. I am presuming the City Council will be favorably inclined to support an
extension of this previously approved project.

Thank you for your follow through on this matter.
