Community Development Department
November I, 1996

TO: Property Owners and Business Managers within or adjacent to Twin Lakes Parkway

RE: Twin Lakes Parkway - Comprehensive Plan Amendment

This is an update on the actions taken by the Roseville City Council October 28, 1996 and the next
steps by the staff.

I. Comprehensive Plan Chan&e: The City Council provided "preliminary approval" to the
corridor for the Twin Lakes Parkway, essentially connecting the future parkway to the
existing 1-35W ramp near County Road "C" and Cleveland Avenue. No further action will
be taken on the comprehensive plan until a preliminary feasibility study is complete.

2. Preliminary Feasibility Study: The City Council directed staff to prepare a feasibility study
. which shows, as closely as possible, the future alignment of Twin Lakes Parkway between
Fairviewand Cleveland Avenues. The City staff will attempt to do more than a simple
road design by including a range of costs (in today's dollars) for each parcel, and the road
construction costs. Our Engineering staff and our Community Development staff and
consultants will be meeting with all property owners along the corridor from Fairview to
Cleveland in the next 30 days. Our staff will call in advance to set up a convenient meeting
time. We are hopeful that the results of this study can be presented to the City Council on
January 13, 1996.

The Roseville staff responsible for this study includes City Engineer Karl Keel (490-2220) and
Community Development Director Dennis Welsch (490-2232).

If you have questions, feel free to contact either of us.

Sincerely,

~iW~

Dennis P .
