<br />1004.01 <br /> <br />trict may be decreased by three hun- <br />dred (300) square feet for each park- <br />ing space that is provided under the <br />principal use structure or, in some <br />other manner, underground which <br />allows use of the grade level above <br />such space for other parking, yard or <br />recreation space. <br /> <br />3. The t{'cal minimum lot area require- <br />ment e.,plicable to any principal use <br />structure housing three (3) or more <br />dwelling units in any R District may be <br />decreased by one hundred (100) <br />square feet per dwelling unit for each <br />story over four (4) in those cases <br />where a permit for structures of four <br />(4) stories or more is issued. To quali- <br />fy for this credit, the structure must <br />provide passenger elevator facilities to <br />all floors. This credit, in combination <br />with any others applicable, shall not <br />be allowed if such allowance would <br />eliminate yard or parking space area <br />otherwise required relative to the <br />dimensions of the proposed structure <br />and the number of units contained in <br />such structure. General Lighting Regulations: Any <br />illumination, whether affixed to a <br />building or otherwise, within a lot in <br />any R District shall not be permitted to <br />beam beyond the lot lines wherein it is <br />located. Number Of Parking Spaces: Off- <br />street automobile parking spaces shall <br />be provided for each use as follows: <br />Dwellings: In R-1, R-2, R-3, R-3A, <br />R-4, R-5, R-6 and R-7, two (2) parking <br />spaces shall be provided per dwelling <br />unit, one-half C/2) of which shall be <br />enclosed except that the enclosure <br />requirement is not applicable in R-1. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />2, Size Of Parking Space: Space for a <br />single vehicle shall be nine feet by <br />eighteen feet (9' x 18') or larger pro- <br />vided that up to fifty percent (50%) of <br />the required spaces may be not less <br />than eight feet by eighteen feet (8' x <br />18') when posted "Compact Vehicles <br />Only". Aisles shall be provided for <br />ingress and egress and shall be a <br />minimum of twenty four feet (24') in <br />width. All open off-street parking lots or <br />areas shall be constructed of bitumi- <br />nous, concrete or other paving materi- <br />al approved by the Public Works Di- <br />rector. New parking lot surfacing shall <br />be a minimum of two inches (2") of <br />bituminous pavement over an appro- <br />priate base. <br /> <br />~ c.
