1010.03 1010.03: ADDITIONS, ALTERATIONS AND ACCESSORY BUILDINGS: All subsequent additions, exterior alter- ations and accessory buildings, constructed after the erection of an original building or buildings shall be of the same materials as those used in the original building and shall be designed in a manner conforming to the original architectural concept and general appearance. These provisions shall not prevent the upgrading of the quality of ma- terials used in a remodeling or expansion program. (Ord. 1083, 1-14-91) 1010.04: APPEARANCE: Garages, acces- sory structures, screened walls and exposed areas of retaining walls shall be of a similar type, quality and appearance of the principal structure. These provisions shall not prevent the upgrading of the quali- ty of materials used in a remodeling or expansion program. (Ord. 1083, 1-14-91) 1010.05: LANDSCAPING IN PARKING AREA: Five percent (5%) of the surface area of the land within a parking area shall be landscaped with grass, shrub- bery, trees and/or other approved ground cover. (Ord. 1083, 1-14-91) ~ 1010.06: CONCRETE CURBING: The periphery of parking areas and drives shall be constructed with poured in place concrete curbing. (Ord. 1083, 1-14-91) 1010.07: ROOFTOP EQUIPMENT: Roof- top equipment, including rooftop structures related to elevators, shall be completely screened from eye level view from contiguous properties and adjacent streets. Such equipment shall be screened 1010,11 with parapets or other materials similar to and compatible with exterior materials and architectural treatment on the structure being served, Horizontal or vertical slats of wood material shall not be utilized for this purpose, (Ord. 1083, 1-14-91) . ,'-'. 1010.08: UTILITIES: Other utilities such as meters and air handling equipment attached to walls or placed on the ground shall be located to ensure their proper function and facilitate easy mainte- nance. All such utilities shall be totally screened from eye level view from adjacent properties and public streets utilizing similar and compatible materials to that of the principal structure.
