Additional time is needed to work with the School District and
it is recommended consideration be continued until the January 27, 1997 meeting.

B k d e..:~<t. c.......h1 To~~:.. ~
ac groun c...h1 t"W.('fI~.iM. e. ~ : ClJ'P
c.....~ 'fuW<V'SV\\"\?'~':r'= p
. Authority: Towers owned by City are permitted uses in "B" and "I" zones but
require a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) in all other zones.

. APT h~s requested permjssion to license, zon~; aDd construct a multi-user mom-
pole at the Dale Street Fire Station site. The site is zoned "R". The Code
requires a hearing and a CUP even if the City owns the site.

. The School District and City have had preliminary discussions about multi-user
towers to be placed on school district property directly adjacent to Highway 36 at
the High School and at Parkview School. There may be financial and physical
benefit to such a joint location. More discussion is necessary with the School
District.

. In order for APT to begin the CUP process, APT needs City Council permission
since the City owns the Dale Street site.

APT representatives visited with staff on December 11, 1996 and proposed an
alternative to the standard tower system. This system is temporary, part of a trailer
mounted tower and switching device (called COWS) that can be assembled and ~
disassembled as necessary. APT respectfully requested that the city consider this as an '\'f
immediate, but short term solution to the issues of lack of tower space and the time ..It!
necessary to gain a permit from the City of Roseville. No provision for such a temporarW ~c,
tower is available in our code. Therefore staff asked that APT present this alternative-{B ~ ~
for Council discussion at its December 16, 1996 meeting. eo-B"7J'tK ~ ~.y'" .;
~ ' ~ ~
~ . ~ vP (JfI, . tfr /IQ ~ <!J: :fI
/&~VJ ;t-~/ }'. ,po ~cf VJ~~! ~~ ~./I:,.,~
, ~r 'h V'.i>" ~~~ ~~\Y, I ffn~ ' ,r~....
