- - Created: Monday, March 18, 1997 9:38 PM - Page 1 of 1

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

City Planner
Ci ty of Roseville
Fax 490-2931

March 10,1997

Re: Planning File # 2882
Project Nalne: APT Telephone Tower

Dear City Planner,

I do support the building of the tower Planning File # 2882
Project nalne: APT Telephone Tower with a few concerns:

1) That it be placed as far West as possible so that it will not be
visible fron1 the proposed pathway through the waterworks on
Roselawn & Dale.

The McCarron's Lake Neighborhood Association has worked ahnost
2 years to get that property preserved as a nature area.

2) The village will spend Inore than a n1illion dollars on this
SUlnn1er's road reconstruction on Roselawn/ Nand S McCarrons
to Inake this area Illore attractive. Hopefully, those people who
drive around the lake and then head West on Roselawn toward
Dale won't be faced with view of this tower cOlnpeting with the
150 year old white pines!

Please keep this sight line in I11ind when you place the tower. We
have \vorked to make this area a uGatewayU into Roseville. If we
could situate the tower on the western n10st edge of the reservoir, it
should not be visible fron1 the proposed trail.

We're in favor of the tower if the proceeds from it will allow the
village to preserve the Water Works land as Open Space.

Sincerely,

Nannette and J.P.
