I would also like to thank others
members of the Southwind Homeowners Association & Jane Larson for attending the site
inspection meeting.

Our review covered compliance with the approved landscape plan and with the approved grading
plan. A number of dead or dying trees were noted and some poorly established ground cover
areas identified. It appeared from my review that both the developer and the Homeowners
Association could have taken greater care in dealing with the landscaping and ground cover.

After viewing the situation, reviewing outstanding issues, and considering the parties' claimed
justification or responsibility, I have concluded the following steps should be taken:

The Developer Shall:

~ Replace all dead and dying maple and spruce trees. Maple trees shall be a minimum of 2-
112-caliper inch and spruce trees shall be six to eigl1t feet in ~eight.

~ Install one sugar maple tree 2-112 caliper inch (consistent with existing boulevard trees)
adjacent to the driveway (east) at 187 Burke A venue; install one flowering crab tree
adjacent to the driveway (west) at 178 County Road B; install two six to eight foot tall
spruce trees in the rear yard of 178 County Road B, 2112, 2150 and 2154 Albemarle
Court; install one six to eight foot tall spruce tree in the rear yard lying between 2099 and
2103 Albemarle Court; and install one six to eight foot tall spruce tree between the unit at
2121 Albemarle Court and the trail.

2660 Civic Center Drive + RoseviIle + Minnesota + 55113
651-490-2200 + TDD 651-490-2207
