BACKGROUND <br /> <br />2.1 All of the properties are zoned R-1, Single Family Residential. <br /> <br />2.2 All three of the property owners were notified that their driveways are <br />nonconforming in conjunction with preparations for a public improvement project (P- <br />97 -03). The variances are being requested in order to allow the continuance of <br />driveways which are set back less than five feet from the side property line. <br /> <br />2.3 It is the policy of the City of Roseville to issue blanket minor variances for driveway <br />side yard setbacks in conjunction with street improvements within the community, <br />provided the property is located in an R-1, Single Family Residential District, and <br />used for residential purposes. <br /> <br />2.4 Section 703.04B, City Code, states "residential driveways shall be constructed so <br />that the edge of the driveway nearest to the side lot line shall be a minimum of five <br />feet from the side lot line." <br /> <br />Blanket Variances - RCA (06/09/97) - Page 1 of 2 <br />
