, OPUS.

September 17, 1997
Page two

If the City Council chooses to locate the monopole in Gateway we ask that the following
conditions be placed on US West and the City of Roseville for the term that the monopole
is in existence on the site:

. The maximum height be 90 feet.
. The monopole and an accompanying box be landscaped.
. No trees intended to be preserved under the Opus master landscape plan shall be
removed.

. Any antennae or protrusions from the base pole be located within 5 feet of the
top of the pole and extend a maximum of four inches from the pole. (It was
mentioned at one of the meetings that these conditions are feasible.)

. The monopole shall not interfere with the future use of this area as a transit
station.

. There shall be no cost assessed to Opus or any of its tenants for the monopole
or associated landscaping.

. Opus and its tenants shall be indemnified by the City and US West from any
interference with business operations now or in the future related to the
operation and technology relative to the monopole.

The City Council has in the past strongly stated its concerns that this gateway area be as
attractive as possible as it is one of the entries into the City of Roseville. Please strongly
consider how this monopole might impact sight lines in this location.

Thank you for your consideration of our comments relative to this issue.
