REQUESTED ACTION <br /> <br />1.1 The City of Roseville is requesting the vacation of a portion of Terrace Drive <br />adjacent to Lots 17 and 18, Block 5, Kroiss Lakeview Second Addition (797 Terrace <br />Drive and 801 Terrace Drive). <br /> <br />2J1 BACKGROUND <br /> <br />2.1 The City of Roseville is requesting the vacation of a portion of Terrace Drive <br />adjacent to 797 Terrace Drive and 801 Terrace Drive. This past summer, during a <br />mill and overlay project (P-97 -06), the City realigned the curb and gutter in this <br />location. The bulb that was located in front of these two lots was not needed and <br />the realignment of the curb and gutter will facilitate maintenance of the roadway. <br />Since the curb and gutter in this location was realigned, the City is now requesting <br />the vacation of that portion of the right-of-way previously occupied by the bulb. <br /> <br />2.2 Section 1013.04 outlines the procedure for vacating streets, alleys, and easements. <br /> <br />Ul STAFF COMMENT <br /> <br />3.1 In reviewing this request, staff has made the following findings: <br /> <br />1. This portion of the Terrace Drive right-of-way, which is adjacent to Lots 17 <br />and 18, Block 5, was dedicated on the plat of Kroiss Lakeview Second <br />Addition in 1966. <br /> <br />2. The realignment of the curb and gutter in this location during the City's mill <br />and overlay project (P-97 -06) eliminated the need for the additional right-of- <br />way previously occupied by the bulb. <br /> <br />3. The proposed vacation of this portion of Terrace Drive will not have an <br />adverse impact on the general public health, safety and welfare. <br /> <br />PF#2968 - RPCA (11/12/97) - Page 1 of 2 <br />
