<br />,- <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br /> <br />pproval: <br /> <br />DATE: 12/13/99 <br />ITEM NO: <br /> <br />Agenda Section: <br />CONSENT <br /> <br />City approval for the provision of sanitary sewer and watennain to the two <br />townhouse lots located in St. Anthony, a part of the Mendota Homes 12 <br />unit townhouse development approved by the City Council on July 26, <br />1999. (PF 3123) <br /> <br />Manager Approved: <br /> <br />1.0 BACKGROUND <br /> <br />1.1 The City has been asked by Mendota Homes to allow private line extensions of municipal <br />sanitary sewer and watermain to two lots located in St. Anthony. These lots are part of <br />a 12 unit townhouse development. (10 units approved by the Council on July 26, 1999) <br /> <br />1.2 The City of St. Anthony concurs it is in the best interest of the development to have a <br />single sanitary sewer and watermain extend to the site development. <br /> <br />1.3 The public sanitary sewer and watennain extends from County Road C2, north to the <br />townhouse parcel. The private sanitary sewer and watermain will be located in a 30 foot <br />wide easement that extends east and west the length of the parcel. <br /> <br />1.4 Both engineering departments have reviewed and approved the utility extension plans. <br /> <br />1.5 Sanitary sewer & watermain, usage will be billed by the City of Roseville to the two units <br />located in St. Anthony. <br /> <br />1.6 The utilities will be owned and maintained by Mendota Homes, the Townhome Association <br />and/or its successors. <br /> <br />2.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of the attached resolution allowing the use of Roseville <br />utilities, constructed as private extensions to the two lots located in St. Anthony, lots <br />associated with the approved 12 unit Mendota Homes townhouse development. <br /> <br />3.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />By resolution approve (deny) the request by Mendota Homes to provide the use of <br />Roseville sanitary sewer and watennain to service two lots in S1.
