The Planning Commission has a scheduled hearing on June 12, 1996; <br />the Council has a hearing scheduled for June 25, 1996. <br /> <br />The Action Plan is 1) collaborative, based on maximizing the assets the <br />community already has (not a needs based program), 2) rooted in the <br />residential areas and neighborhoods, and 3) at least partially self-supporting. <br /> <br />Once the Commission and Council have adopted Action Plan items, the staff will <br />prepare grant applications for the highest priority items. The application forms are <br />due in mid August, 1996. <br /> <br />Previous Comments: <br />On May 8, 1996, the Planning Commission reviewed these items and <br />commented that all appear to be consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. The <br />Commission commented that city action plan should concentrate on a few <br /> <br />3 <br />
