The hearing will be held this evening at the Planning
Commission meeting, after which a recommendation will be sent to the City COWlcil for their
final decision.

Note that the official map (September, 1998) illustrates the final align after city acquisition and
construction. It is anticipated that the actual construction would occur in the year 2001 or later,
Wlless. the property owners requested construction at an earlier date.

In Mr. Pikovsky's case, the staff has worked with him to illustrate in map 2 (November, 1996),
an interim pavement surface within the right.of.way that could skirt the south edge of his offices
and safety building until such time as they are redeveloped and a more sweeping curve from the
west to the northeast could be reconstructed. "I-

\
j
j
\

At this time (October 14, 1998) the City Council has not taken formal action on these issues. I
anticipate that the COW1cil will take action on this issue atthe October 26, 1998 meeting.

Sincerely,

~)u~

Dennis P.
