<br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES <br />EXCERPT - OCTOBER 14, 1998 <br />DRAFT <br /> <br />6b. Planning File 3022. The City of Roseville is proposing to officially map the Twin Lakes <br />Parkway right-of-way between Fairview Avenue North and Cleveland Avenue North. <br /> <br />Chair Harms opened the hearing. Dennis Welsch presented a summary of the staff report. <br /> <br />A letter from Regor, Inc., 1947 W. Co. Rd C, dated October 13, 1998, opposing the alignment <br />because of loss of land on the Regor site was added to the file and to the minutes. <br /> <br />Aldon Pearson appeared on behalf of Mr. Gene Pikovsky. He reviewed the industrial goals of <br />the Comprehensive Plan, page IND-3. He noted PIK has three tenants who will use the site for <br />up to five years. He reviewed the interim proposal and asked how long it would take to become <br />the final plan or improvement. Mr. Pearson asked if the interim proposal were installed, an entry <br />would need to be constructed between the office building and the safety building. <br /> <br />Mr. Pearson stated the PIK owners are concerned about the timing and pricing of the property. <br />He displayed a letter from (October 14,1998) by Dennis Welsch which states an interim plan <br />also be adopted and recommended to the City Council. <br /> <br />Aldon Pearson noted PIK was interested in the date when the final and interim plan alignment <br />would be put into place. (Construction is scheduled for year 2001 or later). <br /> <br />Karl Keel stated the city would hold hearings before the roadway was constructed. Access <br />would be determined at that time. <br /> <br />There was no further public comments or questions. <br /> <br />Chair Harms closed the hearing. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Rhody moved, seconded by Member Wilke, to recommend adoption of the <br />Ordinance adopting the Twin Lakes Parkway Official Map. <br /> <br />On a roll call vote: <br />Ayes: 7, Harms, Mulder, Rhody, Cunningham, Klausing, Wilke, Olson <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Cunningham moved, seconded by MemberWilke, to recommend acceptance <br />of the interim design until final alignment is accomplished. <br /> <br />On a roll call vote: <br />Ayes: 7, Cunningham, Wilke, Mulder, Harms, Klausing, Olson, Rhody <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br />
