<br />~,-' <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />Revised October 7, 1998 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1004.01A <br />OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE <br />(Accessory Buildings) <br /> <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE DOES ORDAIN: <br /> <br />Section 1. Purpose. The purpose of this Ordinance is to amend Section <br />1004.01 (A) of the City Code to update and clarify the City's regulations regarding the <br />number, size, location, height, and appearance of accessory buildings in residential <br />zoning districts. The intent of the proposed modifications is to address the needs of <br />Roseville residents for storage space in detached garages and garden sheds, while <br />protecting the residential areas of the community from excessively large and obtrusive <br />accessory buildings. <br /> <br />Section 2. Amendment. Section 1004.01A of the Roseville City Code is hereby <br />amended <..S follows: <br /> <br />A. . Accessory Buildings In Residential Districts: <br /> <br />1. Each residentiallv zoned or used parcel shall be allowed one accessory <br />building and one storage/tool/garden shed. <br /> <br />2. Location: No accessory building shall be erected or located within any <br />front yard other than the rear yard except for a through lot when it &hall be <br />located in the side Y3rd. Accessory buildings shall be located behind the <br />established front building line of the principal structure, except for through <br />lots and lakeshore lots. Accessory buildings on through lots and <br />lakeshore lots may be located between the roadway and the principal <br />structure, provided said accessory building meets the reguired front yard <br />setback for the district in which it is located. <br /> <br />3. Accessory buildings shall be set back a minimum of five feet (5') from a <br />side yard or rear yard lot line, or more from all lot lines of adjoining lots <br />which ~ue in any R District, and shall be a minimum of six feet (6') or more <br />from any other building or structure on the same lot, and behind the <br />principal structure building line in the front yard. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Considered Part Of Princip31 Building If Distance Less Than Six Feet: For <br />zoning and setback purposes, an accessory building shall be considered <br />as an integral part of the principal building if it is located less than six feet <br />(6') from the principal building. <br /> <br />(e.tcl.wR~ ~ bJl <br /> <br />\\ 5.
