Gene Mikowski, Contractor, will be in to pick up the Jim Anderson garage
pennit on Arona at 10:00 a.m. on 8/9/94. On small lots like Mr. Andersonts,
the Council's policy last night was to have staff see that such structures have
similar siding, color (or earth tODe), roof slope, height no higher then existing
garage and architectural detail (if any) as the existing house and garage.
Landscaping is encouraged.

No paved driveway is required if the structure's primary purpose is storage.
If pavement is used, DO more than 300/0 of the site can be impervious.

2. On larger lots, like the 1.2 acre Burke Avenue site, the Council is more
lenient, allowing the metal building for the building of a boat. It should be of
a color similar to the house or an earth tone. Landscaping is encouraged.

Height should be the same. as height of existing garage if set at minimum
setback (5} If the building is setback further, the height can be increased.
For this time, and the lot size of 1 acre or more, add 61t of additional height
for each additional foot of setback to a maximum of 15 feet in total height as
per City code definition of tlheightlt for accessory buildings.

No paved driveway is required if the structure's primary purpose is storage.
If pavement is used, no more than 30% of the site can be impervious.

3. Council has asked that staff review regulations from other cities and prepare a
report with suggestions for improvements to code by October 10, 1994.

cc: Steve Sarkozy
