The <br />variances are being requested in order to allow the continuance of driveways which <br />are set back less than five feet from the side property line. <br /> <br />2.3 It is the policy of the City of Roseville to issue blanket minor variances for driveway <br />side yard setbacks in conjunction with street improvements within the community, <br />provided the property is located in an R-1, Single Family Residential District, and <br />used for residential purposes. <br /> <br />2.4 Section 703.048, City Code, states "residential driveways shall be constructed so <br />that the edge of the driveway nearest to the side lot line shall be a minimum of five <br />feet from the side lot Une.Y <br /> <br />3.0 STAFFCOMMENT/RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />3.1 Requests were received from all property owners in accordance with City policy. <br />All requests included an application form, sketch of the driveway, and written <br />approval from the adjacent property owner affected by the variance. <br /> <br />PF 3019/3024 - RCA (05126/98) - Page 1 of 2 <br />
