<br />3. The proposed variance is in harmony with the general purpose and intent of <br />the City's Comprehensive Plan and Title 10 of the City Code (Zoning). <br /> <br />4. The variance, if granted, will not adversely affect the public health, safety, or <br />general welfare. <br /> <br />5. As part of the variance approval, the applicants will pave the east side <br />driveway for the other housing unit within the duplex. <br /> <br />6. Snow storage for the west driveway will be in the front and rear yard, not the <br />neighbors side yard. <br /> <br />7. Gutters will be placed on the new garage and direct the drainage to areas <br />away from the adjoining neighbor to the west. <br /> <br />4.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />4.1 By motion, approve Diana Moss and Mary Needham's request for a minor variance <br />to reduce the setback of an accessory building to three feet for the purpose of <br />constructing a single stall detached garage (14' x 22'), increase the size of the rear <br />yard building area to 26%, and approve a variance to extend a non-conforming <br />driveway at 182-184 Skillman Avenue West, based on the findings of the Minor <br />Variance Committee outlined in section 3.2 of this report. <br /> <br />Attachments: Property location map; minor variance application; written statement from applicant; written <br />consent from adjacent property owners; sketch of property; photographs of property. <br /> <br />60-day Time Limit: Application accepted on May 11, 1998; Decision deadline is July 10, 1998. <br /> <br />Prepared by: Kim L.
