<br />2.4 Section 703.04B, City Code, states "residential driveways shall be constructed so <br />that the edge of the driveway nearest to the side lot line shall be a minimum of five <br />feet from the side lot line." <br /> <br />3.0 STAFF COMMENT/RECOMMENDA TION <br /> <br />3.1 Requests were received from all property owners in accordance with City policy. <br />All requests included an application form, sketch of the driveway, and written <br />approval from the adjacent property owner affected by the variance. <br /> <br />3.2 Staff recommends approval of the blanket variances based on the following <br />findings: <br /> <br />1. The existing setback from the adjacent property line will not be reduced for <br />any of the properties listed. <br /> <br />2. The width of the driveway will not exceed 26 feet at the property line for any <br />of the properties listed. <br /> <br />3. The proposed blanket variances are in harmony with the general purpose <br />and intent of the City's Comprehensive Plan and Title 10 of the City Code <br />(Zoning). <br /> <br />4. The blanket variances, if granted, will not adversely affect the public health, <br />safety, or general welfare. <br /> <br />4JJ. SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />4.1 By motion, approve the following blanket minor variances based on the findings <br />outlined in section 3.2 of this report. <br /> <br />1. Gordon Wilkinson, 2917 Arona Street North, to reduce the driveway setback <br />to zero feet along the south property line for the purpose of bringing an <br />existing driveway into compliance with Section 703.04B, City Code. <br /> <br />2. Ruby Broz, Curtis Herbert Broz & Marvin Henry Broz, 2930 Arana Street <br />North, to reduce the driveway setback to zero feet along the south property <br />line for the purpose of bringing an existing driveway into compliance with <br />Section 703.04B, City Code. <br /> <br />3. Robert Ethen, 2918 Albert Street North, to reduce the driveway setback to <br />zero feet along the south property line for the purpose of bringing an existing <br />driveway into compliance with Section 703.048, City Code. <br /> <br />4.
