Mr. Munson advised that the upper <br /> unit was currently occupied while the lower unit is vacant and condemned due to <br /> an inoperable furnace, infestation and debris. Mr. Munson estimated the total cost <br /> of abatement would be approximately $2,950.00, as detailed in the RCA dated <br /> August 25, 2014. <br /> McGehee moved, Etten seconded, directing the Community Development staff to <br /> abate public nuisance violations at 1175 — 1177 County Road B by hiring general <br /> contractors to re-secure various trim boards, repaint any deteriorating trim boards <br /> and doors on the front of the house, remove rank vegetation, have grass cut week- <br /> ly, remove and dispose of garbage, and remove garbage weekly until the property <br /> is out of the redemption period in December of 2014 at an estimated cost of <br /> $2,950; with the property owner to be billed for actual and administrative costs, <br /> and if charges not paid, authorizing staff to recover costs as specified in City <br /> Code, Section 407.07B; amended to include staff direction to secure the build- <br /> ing from entry again. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, McGehee, and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> 14. Councilmember-Initiated Items for Future Meetings <br /> Councilmember McGehee requested a discussion in a financial management plan or poli- <br /> cy to address and fund ongoing maintenance and future CIP needs as part of the consid- <br /> eration for the addition of any new assets. Councilmember McGehee asked that the dis- <br /> cussion occur sooner rather than later, and was duly noted by City Manager Trudgeon. <br />
