<br />lrJ l\ h qf{ <br /> <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVlllE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on Monday, the 11 th day <br />of October, 1999 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Wiski, Maschka, Goedeke, Mastel and Wall <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 9694 <br /> <br />Authorizing Application for livable Communities Demonstration Program <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is a participant in the Livable Communities Act's Housing <br />Incentives Program for 1998 as determined by the Metropolitan Council, and is therefore eligible to make <br />application for funds under the Livable Communities Demonstration Account; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is a member in good standing with the NM I-35W Corridor Coalition, a <br />Minnesota joint power organization under Minnesota Statutes, 1994, Section 471.59; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City and the Coalition have identified a proposed project within the Coalition <br />geographic area that meets the Demonstration Account's purpose/s and criteria; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City and the Coalition have institutional, managerial and financial capability to <br />ensure adequate project administration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City concurrently certifies with other Coalition members that they will comply <br />with the applicable laws and regulations as stated in the contract agreements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota agrees to act as co-legal <br />sponsor with the other Coalition members for the project for the project contained in the <br />Demonstration Account application submitted on September 3D, 1999; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Manager/Administrator <br />is hereby authorized to apply to the Metropolitan Council for the funding on behalf of <br />the City of Roseville and to jointly execute with other Coalition members such <br />agreements as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the City and <br />Coalition as joint applicants. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Mastel and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Wiski, <br />Maschka, Goedeke, Mastel and Wall <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: None <br /> <br />WHERE UPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
