The proposed definitions are provided below:
90
Restaurant, traditional:
An establishment in which customers are served their food
91
in or on non-disposable dishes to be consumed primarily while seated at tables or
92
booths within a building, and which may or may not serve intoxicating alcoholic
93
beverages to be consumed upon the premises. Food sales shall account for over 50%
94
of the gross receipts at any restaurant serving intoxicating alcoholic beverages.
95
Traditional restaurants may also be a café, cafeteria or buffet, and/or deli. Customers
96
may take away food, but drive-through facilities are not allowed.
97
Food truck: A mobile restaurant that transports, cooks, and sells food items.
98
Proposed Development Standards
99
With the proposal to eliminate the Regulating Plan within the CMU District, there
100
becomes a need for new development standards. The City Planner has concluded that
101
these standards should include language from the resolution passed by the City Council
102
requiring an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for all propose development
103
within the Twin Lakes Redevelopment Area and language from the soon-to-be-
104
eliminated Regulating Plan that incorporated components of the previous Urban Design
105
Principals into the Twin Lakes Master Plan. These standards should align with those
106
found in the Regional Business District since the CMU District is very similar.
107
PROJ0026_RCA_TextAmdts_070714
