<br />REQUEST FOR SKETCH PLAN REVIEW <br /> <br />...' <br /> <br /> <br />DATE: 10/14/98 <br />ITEM NO: 7(a) <br />City Manager Approval: Agenda Section: <br />OTHER ACTIONS <br />John Olson request for sketch plan review of the plans to expand the <br />building at 1944 Lexington Avenue North using the Cornerstone <br />guidelines (PF#3077). <br /> <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION <br /> <br />1.1 John Olson is requesting Planning Commission comment and direction on his <br />proposal to expand the building at 1944 Lexington Avenue for use as a multi-tenant <br />facility. Mr. Olson is considering several alternatives for expansion that use the <br />Cornerstone guidelines to bring the building closer to Lexington Avenue. <br /> <br />2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> <br />2.1 The following two alternative options are being proposed for this site: <br /> <br />1. Expand the existing building on site (Lexington Professional Associates) by <br />adding additions to the east (rear) and west (front) sides of the building; <br /> <br />2. Expand the existing building on site as outlined in option #1 and construct an <br />addition connecting this building with the building to the south (Suburban <br />True Value Hardware); and <br /> <br />Both of these options include creating a unified fa9ade for the building, which will <br />be used as a multi-tenant office and retail building. <br /> <br />2.2 Concept site plans for these two options and concept building elevations are <br />attached. It is anticipated that Mr. Olson will be presenting updated plans at the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />3.0 SUGGESTED ACTION <br /> <br />3.1 Provide comment and direction to the applicant and staff on John Olson's request <br />for the expansion of the building at 1944 Lexington Avenue North. <br /> <br />Attachments: Location map; proposed site plans and building elevations. <br />Prepared by: Kim L.
