Allied Building Products Corp. purchased Builders Suppty, Inc. in September, 1997, We entered into a seven-year lease witlt the property owner. Allied is the premier distributor of building materials in the United States, and our goal was to bring residential rooting into our locatiOn in the TWin Cities market. We were unaware of the restrictions on outside stonlge that exist in Roseville, We informed you of our need to relocate to a facility where outside storage was an option, and the Council granted us extended time to search for .socha property. However. the extension to March 31, 1999 is not sufficient for os to reach our goal. The damage caused by the major hailstorm in 1998 has not all been replaced or repaired, We are providing the building contractors with the ma.terijils to meet the needs of the people to renovate the homes in the affected area, Work will begin again after April I !It and outside storage will be required to support tbe program.
