LfJ) .~ !,qo

October 27, 199'8

Mr. Derek Schuck
Allied Building Systems
1920 W. County Road C
Roseville, Minnesota 55113

RE: Emergency Outdoor Storage of Shingles

Mr, Schuck:

On October 26, 1998, the Roseville City Council approved your request to continue emergency
outdoor storage of materials on your site through March 31, 1999.

As you know, the City Code prohibits outdoor storage in all 1-1 zones; it does not allow for any
permits or other relief. Storage must be indoors. See the attached Section 1007.02B, All
property owners in an 1-1 zone are required to comply with this provision of the Code,

Based on the Council's decision, and as a temporary emergency measure, you may continue to
store roofing shingles/materials on the back (south side) of the building until March 31, 1999. The
reason for this emergency measure is to assist contractors, suppliers and home owners to repair
damage from hail and wind storms this past summer, All materials stored on the site must be
screened from view and must allow for parking and emergency vehicle access on your site.

While it is unclear what the future holds for the building you currently occupy, our economic
development specialist Cathy Bennett will be calling you regarding the space that may be
available after March 31, 1999. She works directly with businesses and realtors interested in
Roseville properties.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

~~~
Dennis P.
