<br />--~-----------.--- -- --- --- <br /> <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCil ACTION <br /> <br />DATE: 12/14/98 <br />ITEM NO: C-3 <br /> <br />Item Description: <br /> <br />Agenda Section: <br />CONSENT <br /> <br />The City of Roseville is requesting vacation of a drainage and utility <br />easement located across Lots 1 and 4, Block 2, Gateway Business Park <br />(PF3089). <br /> <br /> <br />1.0 Requested Action <br /> <br />1.1 The City of Roseville is requesting vacation of a drainage and utility easement located <br />across Lots 1 and 4, Block 2, Gateway Business Park (PF3089). The utilities located within <br />the easement have been relocated along the eastern edge of the parcel and this easement <br />is no longer necessary. <br /> <br />1.2 The City of Roseville will also need to authorize acceptance of replacement easements <br />granted by]ainson Investments, LLC, and the execution of a Declaration of Easements for <br />Gateway Business Park. <br /> <br />2.0 Background <br /> <br />2.1 The City of Roseville is requesting the vacation of a 30' drainage and utility easement <br />across the eastern portion of Lot 1, Block 2, Gateway Business Park (undeveloped City <br />parcel). A small portion of this easement also crosses the southest corner of Lot 4, Block <br />1, Gateway Business Park (India Handicrafts parcel). The water main located within this <br />easement has been relocated to the east and the easement is no longer necessary. In <br />conjunction with the request to vacate this easement, the City is also being asked to accept <br />a replacement easement in the location of the relocated water main. <br /> <br />2.2 Section 1013.04 outlines the procedure for vacating streets, alleys, and easements. <br /> <br />3.0 Staff Comment <br /> <br />In reviewing this request, staff made the following findings: <br /> <br />1. The water main located within this easement was relocated in 1997; therefore, the <br />easement is no longer needed by the City. <br /> <br />2.
