SEH reviewed
the Lyndale Center in New Hope for differences in traffic volumes. They also looked at turning
movement capacity on Snelling Avenue.

Another site design alternative discussed with Mr. Duoos is a controlled access into the
neighborhood for residents only. This could take a number offorms: a card-and-gate entry arm
at Fry Street; a cul-de-sac in Oakcrest with signage; structures and/or signage to close down
through traffic on Oakcrest. Any of these road alternatives could be constructed during the
summer of 1999.

A series of sketch "possibilities" were prepared by staff to illustrate the possibilities.

Attachment: Report from Short, Elliott, Hendrickson, Inc.; Sketch Possibilities
Cc: James Addition Task Force

Q:\Planning Files\3096_Lyndale_ Garden \RCA(03.15.99).doc

PF3086 - RCA (12/14/98) - Page 1 O~. 3

d\CA..
'7/~ ~-
