<br />/7 <br /> <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />l <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />Extract of Minutes of Meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of Roseville <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on Friday, the <br />22nd day of March, at 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mastel, Goedeke, Maschka, Wall <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: Wiski <br /> <br />Council Member Wall introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />_",(1 !Jt!3/ c-~ <br />Resolution No~ 0 1()2.A # OIL ~ <br />Resolution Extending the Review t2iOd for [)j <br />Triangle Warehouse, 2523 Walnut Street, Minor Subdivision Proposal ~ <br />(PF31 05) ( <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Triangle Warehouse, 2523 Walnut Street, has requested a minor subdivision <br />to purchase a piece of the Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way and attach it to the five acres <br />located south of the rail line, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Burlington Northern Railroad has filed notice of vacation of portions of the <br />right-of-way in Roseville; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a 180 day public review period that began in January 1999 allowing public <br />agencies an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed abandonment action and <br />determine the public's interests thereby allowing staff review of Roseville's interest in retaining <br />the BN railroad right-of-way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City's 1998 Comprehensive Plan states that the City should: <br /> <br />Provide input into the rail corridor planning and abandonment processes. <br />If rails are to be removed, the corridors should be preserved for public <br />uses such as light rail or pathways. <br />a) If there is a rail line abandonment in Roseville, an appropriate <br />public agency should acquire the land for public purposes. <br /> <br />b) Light rail planning should receive input from Roseville. Roseville <br />should preserve potential rights-of-way and station locations and identify <br />possible routes for tributary bus service. <br /> <br />c) Identify and work with the decision-makers on approved LRT routes in <br />Roseville. <br /> <br />:)/t\1 <br />~'-6- f1 <br />
