<br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Comprehensive Plan also calls for pathway connections <br />through the community and Ramsey County has identified the BN County Road "C" rail right- <br />of-way as a potential cross-county commuter or light rail line that should be acquired if <br />abandoned by BN; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined to be in the best interests of the public for the <br />Ramsey County Regional Rail Authority to acquire this parcel with the intent of keeping the <br />right-of-way parcels in one ownership to determine if a short term, interim lease, or easement <br />should be issued to potential users adjacent to the raiL <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the issue of the proposed George Wintz <br />Triangle Warehouse subdivision of a parcel of right-of-way from the BN rail line (the Triangle <br />Warehouse, 35'x703', or approximately 24,000 sJ.) should not be approved by the City during <br />the 180 day review period (through June 1999) because ofthe impending County Rail <br />Authority study and/or acquisition of this right-of-way land, and <br /> <br />FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED that the application by Triangle Warehouse for a minor <br />subdivision is considered premature and incomplete until such time as the 180 day Federal <br />Surface Transportation Board Review of the abandonment proposal is completed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Maschka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mastel, Goedeke, Maschka, Wall <br />and the following voted against the same: none <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />Q:\Planning Files\3105_ Wintz Warehouse\Resolution.Ext{03.22.99).doc <br />
