He stated the property had been used for truck rental <br />and equipment rental by Mr. Lametti prior to his leasing the property. Therefore, he <br />assumed the use was a permitted one in the area. He stated that when he found out a special <br />use was needed that he immediately filed his application. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr 0 Dahlgren reviewed the history of the property for the Commission. It was suggested <br />by a Comndssion member that perhaps a time limitation should be placed on the special use <br />permit similar to the 3 year limit that was placed on Mr. James Trapp's truck rental <br />operation at County Road C. <br /> <br />Mr. Safe indicated that, although they are presently leasing the facility, they plan to <br />exercise their option to buy the property in Decembero <br /> <br />Mr. Mastel commented that he personally did not feel comfortable with a time limit for <br />this special use permito <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mro Kellett moved and Mro Rukavina Seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of <br />Safe Enterprises, Inco request for special use permit at 1975 Oakcresto Roll Call, Ayes: <br />Simons, Cushing, G" Johnson, Kellett, Rukavina, Mastel and Vo Johnsono Nays: None 0 <br /> <br />Other Business <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Simons indicated he would like the Commission to be aware of the fact that the <br />Land and Recreation Committee of the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners has recommended <br />the deletion of the Victoria-Lake Owasso Open Space site from the Ramsey County Park <br />Acquisition program. He stated that perhaps the Commission would like to take a position <br />regarding this recommendationo <br /> <br />Mr. North indicated that the Committee recommendation was scheduled to be considered by <br />the Ramsey County Board at its September 7, meeting~ but that the City had requested the <br />action be continued until the Board meeting of.Septerrber 20, to provide an opportunity for <br />the City Council to review the recommendationo The Council does not meet until September 13. <br />
