HOURS OF OPERATION In C-l districts: Businesses that abut any residential district must restrict their hours of operation to 6:00 a.m. to 11 :00 p.m. In C-2 districts: Businesses whose buildings are located within 100 feet of any residential district must restrict their hours of operation to 6:00 a.m. to 11 :00 p.m. OUTDOOR STORAGE In C-2 districts: ~ In addition to the city's other screening requirements, all outdoor storage must be set back according to the building setback requirements of the district. ~ Outdoor storage must be screened from view from public right-of-way by an opaque fence or wall. MISCELLANEOUS REQUlREMENTS--OTHER SECTIONS OF THE ORDINANCE SCREENING ~ All commercial and industrial principal and accessory uses which are situated within 75 feet of an R-l, R-2, R-3, or R-4 district must be screened by a wall or fence of not less than 100% opacity and up to 10 feet in height above the level ofthe R-l, R-2, R-3, or R-4 property at the district boundary. ~ The wall or fence must be setback from the property line at least 5 feet. ~ A combination of coniferous and deciduous plants and, possibly, vines must be planted in order to soften the appearance of the wall or fence to the residential area. ~ All required screening must be harmonious with the principal structure. STORAGE-DISPLAYS All materials, supplies, merchandise or other similar matter not on display for sale, rental or lease to the ultimate consumer must be stored within a 100% opaque wall or fence which screens storage from public right-of-way. FENCES (COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS) ~ Cannot exceed 10 feet in height. ~ Boundary line fences abutting a residential district must conform to the conditions for fences that apply to the residential district, except for height. ~ Fences for special purposes differing in construction, height, or length may be permitted by special use permit if the fence is necessary to buffer, protect or improve the premises for which the fence is intended. OFF-STREET PARKING Any lighting used to illuminate off-street parking must be so arranged as to reflect the light away from adjoining property, abutting residential uses ad public right of ways.
