632 <br />• Ramsey County Recycling Presentation <br />633 <br />• GreenStep Inventory <br />634 <br />• Community Solar Discussion <br />635 <br />• TIF questions (Communications item) <br />636 <br />• Parking examination as requested from a previous meeting (Cihacek) <br />637 <br />638 <br />Mr. Schwartz advised that Eureka Recycling was ready to host a tour of their new <br />639 <br />recycling facility in NE Minneapolis (Kennedy Street west of Highway 280; <br />640 <br />approximately 7 minutes from Roseville City Hall), sometime after September 9, <br />641 <br />and limited to groups of five between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 p.m. Mr. <br />642 <br />Schwartz noted that some Councilmembers were also interested in participating in <br />643 <br />the tour; and sought interest from the PWETC, asking that they get back to him <br />644 <br />with their preferred time and date. <br />645 <br />646 <br />Since the majority of the PWETC seemed interested in atour, Mr. Schwartz <br />647 <br />suggested setting up two groups; however, Chair Stenlund asked that staff seek a <br />648 <br />variance for the PWETC to all tour as a group, and waive their exemption. Mr. <br />649 <br />Schwartz advised that he would check with Eureka as to their regulations with the <br />650 <br />number of occupants at the facility and keeping the operation running during the <br />651 <br />tour or having to close it down. <br />652 <br />653 <br />Some members expressed their preference as to the best date to tour, but Mr. <br />654 <br />Schwartz advised that he would talk to Eureka and communicate via e-mail on the <br />655 <br />results of that conversation, and would try immediately before or after lunch. <br />656 <br />657 <br />Preferences: Stenlund (not Wednesday); Seigler (Friday best for him); Felice (Not <br />658 <br />Monday or Wednesday); and Lenz (not Tuesday). <br />659 <br />660 8. <br />Adjourn <br />661 <br />Member Cihacek moved, Member Felice seconded, adjournment of the meeting at <br />662 <br />approximately 8:45 p.m. <br />663 <br />664 <br />Ayes:5 <br />665 <br />Nays:0 <br />666 <br />Motion carried. <br />Page 15 of 15 <br />
