<br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br /> <br />DATE: 06/29/99 <br />ITEM NO: J-2 <br /> <br />Agenda Section: <br />LAND USE <br /> <br />Seth Eggessa request for lot width and lot area variance, and a minor <br />subdivision request for property located at 1992 Cleveland Avenue. <br />(PF3118) <br /> <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION <br /> <br /> <br />On June 21, 1999, staff presented the City Council with a request for direction <br />regarding the Seth Eggessa lot split/variance request. In the report, staff suggested five <br />(5) potential options for Council consideration. At this meeting the City Council <br />indicated interest in pursuing a flag lot ordinance that would allow requests (similar at <br />to that of Mr. Eggessa) without requiring a variance. <br /> <br />Based on the City Council's direction, staff is requesting a City initiated 60 day extension <br />to allow for development of a draft ordinance for Council review and comment and to <br />proceed through the necessary Zoning Ordinance amendment process of public hearing, <br />Planning Commission recommendation and City Council approval/denial. <br /> <br />2.0 Suggested Council Action <br /> <br />By resolution, approve a 60 day extension of the 60-day review period for the Seth <br />Eggessa request for a variance and lot split for property located at 1992 Cleveland <br />Avenue, from June 29, 1991 to August 23, 1999, for the consideration of an ordinance <br />regulating and allowing flag lots within the City of Roseville. <br /> <br />60-day Time Limit: Application accepted on April 29, 1999; Decision deadline is June 29, 1998; requested <br />continuance 06.29.99; 60-day review time limit 08.23.99. <br /> <br />Prepared by: Thomas Paschke (490-2236) <br /> <br />Q:\Planning Files\3118_ Eggessa, Seth\RCA (062999).doc <br /> <br />PF3118 - RCA (062999) Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />~ <br />~O( <br />bQ~ <br />
