<br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL DISCUSSION/DIRECTION <br /> <br /> <br />DATE: 06/21/99 <br />ITEM NO: <br />Manager Approved: Agenda Section: <br />LAND USE <br />SETH EGGESSA REQUEST FOR 1992 CLEVELAND AVENUE <br />(PF3118) <br /> <br />1.0 BACKGROUND <br /> <br />On May 24, 1999, the Roseville City Council considered the request by Seth Eggessa regarding a <br />variance and lot split on property located at 1992 Cleveland Avenue. The City Council's action, <br />in essence, directed staff to work with the City Attorney and Mr. Eggessa to eliminate the <br />number of variances being requested for the site and to review potential impacts created by flag <br />lots. <br /> <br />2.0 Provide Direction <br /> <br />Since the City Council's action, staff has developed a list of five potential actions the City <br />Council could pursue. <br /> <br />1. Interim Use Permit - Based on Mr. Eggessa's statements to staff, Planning <br />\ ,\. ~ \ i ~ommission and City Council, the City could issue an interim use permit (Section <br />~ .V' 1012.09) that limits the number of years the existing home is allowed to be <br />~ n" located on the subject lot. The permit could be approved for any time duration, <br />~ \., such as 5, 7 or 10 years in length and would allow the proposed structure to be <br />", _....t. o-~ '.Jonstructed and the existing home to be removed at the end of the pemrit period. <br />~~ V · YOnce removed the parcel would be brought into conformity. <br /> <br />~:Ii ) 'l}~&rl.g lots - This proposal requires a text amendment to the zoning ordinance <br />\D' -. . '. J tr ~elated to lot size and configurations to allow creation of flag lots under certain <br />.. #( .. ~~ircumstances.
