' <br />;-"'" <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />IX. <br /> <br />Conclusions, Recommendations and Next Steps <br /> <br />The City Center Task Force has concluded that Master Plan Options A and B provide to viable <br />alternatives for consideration by Roseville Planning Commission and City Council. Both options <br />establish a new City Square as a new public gathering place and as a focus for a new Community <br />Center, Recreation Center and expanded City Government Center. Option A includes the <br />potential for introducing residential development that could help to offset public sector <br />investment in the City Center. Option B includes a new Public Safety Center as a potential <br />component of the City Center. <br /> <br />The Roseville City Center Task Force recommends that the Planning Commission and City <br />Council take these recommendations under review as they consider the potential of developing a <br />new City Center for the City of Roseville, A number of more detailed studies need to be <br />undertaken to confirm a particular direction. <br /> <br />The next steps include: <br /> <br />· Planning Commission and City Council approve Roseville City Center Master Plan and <br />Development Strategy. <br /> <br />· Public Works prepares program for new Public Warks Garage, location strategy and <br />relocation costs. <br /> <br />· Fire Department conducts a needs and location analysis to assess where Fire Station # 1 <br />should be located.
