The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p,m, by Chairperson Keith Wietecki, <br /> <br />2. Present: Chair Keith Wietecki, Perrie Heitler, Thomas Johnson, Craig Klausing, Peggy Egli, <br />JosephSmith,Jan Vanderwall, Patricia Johnson, Scott Berg <br /> <br />City Council: Barb Mastel <br /> <br />Staff: Kim Way, Dennis Welsch <br /> <br />3. September 16, 1999 meeting notes were accepted as presented. <br /> <br />4. Phase 2 Models, Needs, Sizes <br /> <br />Kim Way explained Option Band C from the last meeting. He explained the discussions <br />with the Fire Chief regarding fire needs for Roseville, which should be undertaken in a <br />separate study. <br /> <br />Kim Way explained the next steps, phases and need for cost estimates. Draft reports and <br />recommendations could be prepared in the next month or two. All alternatives should be <br />documented as part of the report. <br /> <br />Concept A this evening is equivalent to Concept B from the September meeting. Public <br />Works must move at a very early stage. <br /> <br />The Community Center (27,000 s.t: foot print) and the structured parking (3 levels) would be <br />part of Phase 2 of Concept A. The parking structure has ground level local retail or services. <br /> <br />Phase 3 of Concept A adds a second parking structure (2 levels), and a recreation center <br />(27,000 s.t: foot print) and an enclosed pool (21,000 s.t: foot print). City hall and license <br />center do not change. <br /> <br />Phase 4 of Concept A adds a community center (27,000 sJ. foot print) and an expanded city <br />hall of 10,000 sJ.. The license bureau moves into the city hall expansion. <br /> <br />Phase 5 of Concept A adds the 48,000 sJ. foot print of housing in two buildings (110 to 120 <br />units) along Lexington Avenue. An entrance to the housing would occur off of Lexington <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />City Hall expansion could happen at any time, earlier the better, especially to accommodate <br />the police expansion, <br /> <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />,~O\ <br />,yC{ <br />\0 <br />
