<br />Chair Wietecki asked Dennis Welsch to return with a plan for public input process. <br /> <br />7. Public Comment: <br /> <br />Dick Houck said people misunderstood when the CCTF took an aggressive position with the <br />Planning Cornmission. The CCTF charge includes a report to the Council and the residents. <br />The project recommendation should include costs that the Council can ask for approvaJ in a <br />referendum. The phase 2 planning process is the right way to go, <br /> <br />A general discussion of the Planning Commission report process ensued, ' <br /> <br />Carla Miller, Avon Street, asked for clarification regarding Howard Johnson Park and the <br />VFW. She explained the confusion over the issues, <br /> <br />Wendell Brown, Griggs Street, challenged the CCfF to keep the boundaries as shown on the <br />agenda card - do not confine the site, The Howard Johnson Park could use more <br />improvements including a picnic shelter, Establish priorities, Where can the City move the <br />Public Works Department? <br /> <br />Bill Lansky, Dellwood Street, expressed concern about the use of parks for City Center. <br />Divert traffic to Lexington and County Road C. Why must the city do anything? The people <br />who attend meetings are the residents who care. Try ,to keep neighborhoods quiet, peaceful <br />and green. Agun range would be desirable. One plan alternative could be to do nothing. <br /> <br />John Kysylyczyn, Victoria Street, expressed concern for costs; thanked the CCTF for time <br />and effort. The Focus is the newspaper for the City. He described that parkland on <br />Fernwood and Roselawn, and at Lexington and B where buildings may be or are <br />constructed. The mistrust issue relates to past projects such as the Oval and the Council. <br /> <br />Scott Berg noted the CCTF should be moving aggressively forward, <br /> <br />A resident said the CCfF planning process should include a traffic congestion study. The <br />Planning Commission suggested more input. She recommended a city center not all in one <br />area to reduce congestion. <br /> <br />8.
