<br />1002.02 <br /> <br />facilities. In a suite of rooms without cook- <br />ing facilities, each room which provides <br />sleeping accommodations shall be counted <br />as one lodging room. <br /> <br />LOT: A parcel of land, abutting on a public <br />street, being a lot designated in a recorded <br />plat or a parcel occupied by a principal <br />building on May 21, 1959, or being a parcel <br />of record of sufficient size to provide the <br />yards required by this Code. <br /> <br />LOT AREA: The area of a horizontal plane <br />within the lot lines. <br /> <br />LOT CORNER: A lot situated at the junction <br />of and abutting on two (2) or more inter- <br />secting streets; or a lot at the point of de- <br />flection in alignment of a single street, the <br />interior angle of which does not exceed one <br />hundred thirty five degrees (1350). <br /> <br />LOT DEPTH: The mean horizontal distance <br />between the front lot line and the rear lot <br />line of a lot. <br /> <br />LOT, INTERIOR: A lot other than a corner <br />lot. <br /> <br />LOT LINE: A property boundary line of any <br />lot held in single ownership, except that <br />where any portion of a lot extends into the <br />abutting public street or alley, the lot line <br />shall be deemed to be the street or alley <br />line. <br /> <br />LOT LINE, FRONT: That boundary of a lot <br />which abuts a street, and in the case of a <br />corner lot, it shall be the shortest dimension <br />on a public street. Should the dimensions <br />be equal, the owner shall designate the <br />front for the record. <br /> <br />LOT LINE, REAR: That boundary of a lot <br />which is opposite the front lot line. If the <br />rear lot line is less than ten feet (10') in <br /> <br />1002.02 <br /> <br />length, or if the lot forms a point at the rear, <br />the rear lot line shall be deemed to be a <br />line ten feet (10') in length within the lot, <br />parallel to and at the maximum distance <br />from the front line. <br /> <br />LOT LINE, SIDE: Any boundary of a lot <br />which is not a front or a rear lot line. <br /> <br />LOT, THROUGH: A lot which has a pair of <br />opposite lot lines along two (2) substantially <br />parallel streets and which is not a corner <br />lot. On a through lot, both street lines shall <br />be deemed front lot lines, but in case of two <br />(2) or more contiguous through lots, there <br />shall be a common front yard. (Ord. 275, <br />5-12-59) <br /> <br />LOT WIDTH: The mean horizontal distance <br />between the side lot lines of a lot measured <br />within the lot boundaries at the required <br />front yard setback. (Ord. 275, 5-12-59; <br />amd. 1995 Code) <br /> <br />\ LOW IMPACT PUBLIC OR QUASI-PUBLIC <br />USE: Activities which are sponsored by a <br />public or quasi-public organization which <br />have minor impact in terms of traffic gener- <br />ation, hours of operation, activities conduct- <br />ed or light and noise generated on the sur- <br />rounding properties. Low impact public or <br />quasi-public uses include activities employ- <br />ing no more then ten (10) employees on <br />site for anyone activity, requiring not more <br />than fifteen (15) parking spaces for anyone <br />activity exclusive of public assembly and <br />not involving retailing, wholesaling or ware- <br />housing of materials other than normal <br />office supplies. For the purposes of this <br />Title, a public use is any area, building or <br />structure held, used or cant rolled exclusive- <br />ly for public purposes by any department or <br />branch of any governmant.
