<br />http://www.stpaul.gov/code/Ic331.html <br /> <br />(18) Grocery (A): Food shelf or nonprofit grocery (grocery as defined in Grocery (C) or (D)). <br /> <br />(19) Grocery (B): Farmer's market (see Grocery (C)). Individual food establishments operating at the <br />farmer's market. Excludes home-grown products consistent with Minnesota Department of Agriculture <br />definitions. <br /> <br />(20) Grocery (C): Small retail grocery operation such as convenience store, confectionery, etc. Limited <br />food preparation and/or self-service such as coffee, popcorn, nonalcoholic beverages or ice slush <br />permitted. A microwave oven may be provided to heat purchased food. Preparation of potentially <br />hazardous foods on site would require additional licensing. <br /> <br />(21) Grocery (D): Large retail grocery operations (as defined in Grocery (C)) that may include food <br />operations requiring additional licenses such as Bakery, Butcher, or Restaurant (A)/Deli. <br /> <br />(22) Mobile food. Preparing and serving foods from a self-contained vehicle. Food items will be limited <br />by the equipment that is in the vehicle. No commissary is required. <br /> <br />(23) Mobile food-limited: Preparing and serving food from a mobile food unit, such as a pushcart, that is <br />not self-contained. A separate, approved commissary must be provided and inspected. <br /> <br />(24) Original container: The sale of prepackaged candy, snacks and cannedlbottled nonalcoholic <br />beverages. Food sales cannot be the predominant business. No refrigerated potentially hazardous foods. <br /> <br />(25) Restaurant (A)-O--12 seats: Food preparation and service primarily for carryout or delivery food <br />establishments with a limited menu and seating limited to no more than twelve (12) seats (e.g., deli, <br />pizza, submarine sandwiches, chow mein, hot dogs, . . . ). <br /> <br />(26) Restaurant (B)-more than 12 seats: Food preparation and service for on-site dining with more than <br />twelve (12) seats. <br /> <br />(27) Restaurant (C)-limited: Food service limited to beverages, heating of prepackaged foods, bakery <br />goods, etc., for on-site consumption. No potentially hazardous foods prepared and served. Example: <br />coffee shops. <br /> <br />(28) Restaurant (D)-Add-on: An add-on license for an additional facility within or contiguous to an <br />already licensed food establishment. Example: additional restaurant in a large hotel. <br /> <br />(29) Restaurant (E)-extension: Extension of restaurant food preparation and service on an annual basis <br />to their parking lot, patio, sidewalk, etc., during normal business hours. Sidewalk must not be blocked. <br /> <br />(30) Special event food sales-1--3 days: Short-term food preparation and sales, in conjunction with a <br />special event. Food sales limited to no more than three (3) consecutive days. Application for this license <br />must be made at least three (3) working days before the event or a late fee will be added. An emergency <br />license fee will be added if there is no preapplication for a license and the facility is licensed on site. <br />Only cash payment will be accepted for late and emergency licenses. <br /> <br />(31) Special event food sales-4--14 days: Short-term food preparation and sales, in conjunction with a <br />special event. Food sales limited to a maximum of fourteen (14) consecutive days. The provisions for <br />application dates, late and emergency fees and payments apply as they are contained in the one (1) to <br />three (3) day special event license. <br /> <br />(32) Special event food sales-annual: Short-term food preparation and sales for an unlimited number of <br />special events in one (1) year. Must have the same menu and equipment that was originally approved at <br />each event. The provisions for application dates and late fees apply as they are contained in the one (1) <br />to three (3) day special event license.
