Section 4. Amendments. Section 1010.11 is hereby rewritten as follows: Trash Handling Equipment: A. Commercial: Commercial dumpsters, trash and trash handling equipment within the Limited Business District (B1), Limited Retail District (BIB), Retail Business District (B2), General Business District (B3), Retail Office Service District (B4), Office Park District (B6), and Shopping Center District (SC) shall be stored within a principal structure or within an attached structure accessible from within the principal structure and serviced by an overhead door to the exterior of the facility. If the structure is attached for this purpose, it shall be of the same materials as the principal structure and accessible to the interior and shall be roofed. A facility shall be located and/or screened so as to be as inconspicuous as possible to the contiguous public right-of-way. Such trash handling equipment storage areas shall be of sufficient size to accommodate the separation of trash, including separate provisions for paper, cardboard, glass, cans and miscellaneous refuse. B. Industrial: Industrial dumpsters, trash, and trash handling equipment within the Light Industrial District (11), General Industrial District (12), Modified General Industrial District (l2A), and industrial planned unit developments shall comply with Section 1010.11A or be a self-contained ram container attached to the exterior of a principal structure, used for the purpose of storing and transporting refuse or recyclable materials, and shall be fully screened so as to be as inconspicuous as possible to the contiguous public right-of-way. Screening may be either a fence and/or landscaping and must be approved by the City. Section 5. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect on passage and publication.
