<br />4.7 <br /> <br />Mr. Hauer-Lowe states that due to the roof height of the proposed garage being taller than <br />the existing home, it may be appropriate to eliminate condition 10 "I". The DRC <br />concluded that this is a valid condition and one that provides definition to the structure <br />and given the two existing roof height differences, complement the home. <br /> <br />5.0 <br /> <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />The Community Development Director concurs with the recommendation and conditions <br />of the DRC's action on September 2, to approve the setback permit for Todd and Kim <br />Kaus. <br /> <br />6.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />It is suggested that the Roseville City Council approve one of the following actions: <br /> <br />1. Approve the request by Todd and Kim Kaus for a Setback Permit to allow the <br />construction of additional living space and an attached double stall garage, <br />encroaching into the required 10 foot side yard setback 6 feet 1 inch, subject to: <br /> <br />a. Removal of the shed in the front yard. <br />b. Provision of a site survey indicating proposed/ existing structures and the <br />lot drainage. The survey it to be reviewed by the City Engineer and a <br />determination made as to whether grading modifications and/or gutter are <br />necessary. <br /> <br />2. Approve the request by Todd and Kim Kaus for a setback Permit to allow the <br />construction of additional living space and an attached double stall garage, <br />encroaching into the required 10 foot side yard setback 6 feet 1 inch, subject to the <br />conditions above and including additional Council conditions. <br /> <br />3. Deny of the request.
