The proposed construction requires a Setback Permit
in order to place the proposed detached garage 24 feet from the southern property line.
Ms. Hanson had an existing garage that was located 17 feet from the property line, but
the structure was removed do to its condition. Ms. Hanson is requesting the Setback
Permit to allow construction in a similar location and in a portion of the yard that does
not require extra fill and project cost.

The Setback Permit process allows adjacent property owners the opportunity to comment
on the proposal in writing or affords them time to comment at the hearing. Should you
have any comments or questions about this particular Setback Permit application, please
feel free to attend the meeting on Thursday, October 14 or provide them to my attention.
My direct number is 651-490-2236.

If a decision to approve the request is made, a building permit can be issued in 10 days or
less depending on whether an appeal is filed by an adjacent property owner.

Sincerely

Thomas Paschke
CITY PLANNER
CITY of ROSEVILLE

attachments: application and site plans.

PF31 66 - Setback
