October 25,. 1999

<i!',

~ .' -..-..:, -, ~
:1

Mr. Tom Paschke
Community Development
City of Roseville
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, MN 55113

Dear Tom,

Thank you for taking the time last week to update me as to
the status of Terry and Dianne Huiras' application for
rezoning their property at 2550 Snelling Ave. I am also
grateful that you explained the three steps they must take
before anything can be done. I am assuming we will be
advised if this proceeds to the first step of them
requesting Roseville to modify the comprehensive plan. I
concur with you that the property fronting Snelling Avenue
should remain zoned residential and that a dog kennel (or
any business for that matter)would not be appropriate for
the neighborhood. For some reason, though, Terry has the
impression that Roseville thinks it's a good idea. Any clue
as to where this is coming from?

My husband and I initiated a petition in September 1999
advising our neighbors of Terry and Dianne's plans. We felt
that our neighbors needed to be made aware of this matter.
There was overwhelming opposition to Terry and Dianne's plan
to rezone their residential property.

I am enclosing a copy of the petition for your records. I
am hoping that Terry and Dianne Huiras realize that the
neighborhood does not want any rezoning and that they will
forget about this folly.

Allison E.
