- ,

In October of 1998, the Council initiated a process to determine if compatible park
and business uses could be developed for this parcel. In November of 1998, The
Planning Commission and Parks and Recreation Commission studied this concept.
Both entities determined that there could potentially be a match but that it would
have to be a special and most likely unique combination to make it successful. In
February of 1999, the City Council requested that an RFP be advertised for
developers that could master plan joint business and park uses. The Council
received 3 proposals which where rejected for not being able to meet the
compatibility and economic feasibility issues of a joint park/business development.

PARK DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL

After extensive research, planning and community discussion, the most acceptable use for
the Lexington and B land use is to develop a community park.
