City of Roseville Comprehensive Plan 1999 Submissi~n to Metropolitan Council <br /> <br />Date: May 19,2000 <br /> <br />The City of Roseville has updated its Comprehensive Plan annually and submits a copy to the <br />Metropolitan Council for review. No changes to the Plan's goals, policies and policy plans. <br />have been made. When changes have been proposed in the past, Roseville staff have met with <br />you, or yourstaffto'explain. A CD copy of the Plan is attached for your files. The Plan has its <br />own "search engine" to help you find relevant sections. <br /> <br />As you know, the.City did completely update its Compr~hensive Plan in September of 1994. A <br />copy ofthat document was sent to your community for review and comment. Sinc,e that date the <br />City has made Ii commitment to keep the Plan current in'ltwo ways: first, during the year, hearings <br />and decisions are made on each project which may require changes in Comprehensive Plan . <br />designations; second, the City annually holds hearings in November and December seeking <br />public input regarding the Plan. In January, the Planning Commission and City Council annually. <br />adopt an affirmation resolution of the changes from the previous year and include them in the <br />, . , <br />official document and change the official maps. {. : <br /> <br />A history of these affirmed changes i.s iJ;lc1uded in the Comprehensive Plan Amendments Chart at <br />the front of Book 1. Like most communities, when Roseville adopted its 1994 Plan, it set forth a <br />series of implementation strategies for the coming years, now located in Book 2. <br /> <br />Formal Metropolitan Council staff review of the Roseville plan was done last on December 14, <br />1998 for the 1998 Plan. Forecasts of year 2020 population, housing, employment, T AZs, <br />sanitary sewer projections and an interim strategy for surface water management were requested. <br /> <br />This year the City of Roseville will submit two volumes and several copies by CD to the <br />Metropolitan Council.
