<br />2.2 Demographics (Section 2) - The demographic profile has been updated where <br />statistics are available. New demographics are available through a collaboration of the <br />City, the Roseville and Mounds View School Districts, and the I-35W coalition. <br /> <br />2.3 Land Use. Existing Land Use Map (Section 4) - Illustrates existing land uses, <br />including a spreadsheet breakdown of each designation by area and percent of total City <br />land area. <br />Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map (Section 4) - Illustrates all future land use <br />designations based on City approvals to December 13, 1999, including a spreadsheet <br />breakdown of each designation by area and percent of total city land area. A <br />demographic characterization of each planning district is now included (1999), as well <br />as revised description of each comprehensive plan land use designation. <br /> <br />2.4 Transportation Plan (Section 5) - As required by the Metropolitan Council, the <br />Transportation Plan analysis zones have been reviewed by BRW and the estimated <br />traffic forecasts have been extended from the year 2011 (done in 1997) to the year <br />2020. <br /> <br />2.5 Livable Communities Program 1999-2000 (Section 6) - Housing Goals were adopted <br />by the City Council and sent to the Metropolitan Council for approval in November <br />1999 and include an action plan. These goals are attached and should be adopted as a <br />part of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />2.6 Housing (Section 6) - The housing section included revised statistics (density of single <br />family and multiple family projected to 2020) and a new housing improvement plan <br />and programs. The housing and population estimates have been extended to the year <br />2020. (The Metropolitan Council is completing a study, "The Cost of Growth Trend <br />Development Analysis", in year 2000.) <br /> <br />2.7 Economic and Redevelopment Plan (Section 7) - This section has been updated to <br />provide an overview of short and long term economic and redevelopment strategies. <br />Employment growth - Trend Development extend to the year 2020. A revised existing <br />land use area breakdown has also been added. The Larpenteur Avenue Implementation <br />Design/Redevelopment has been approved and the first special services district was <br />established in 1998; the design work was completed in 1999 and construction is <br />scheduled for year 2000. <br /> <br />PF 3174 - RCA (01/24/00) - Page 2 of 4 <br />
